July 2012
I am starting to really enjoy doing "the news". Mainly due to the fact that what has happened in the past month always seems to be so positive. We are really busy and have launched some great web sites and have lots of lovely new customers - happy days. Some months something happens that is a touch special and this is one of those months. We have recently re-launched a web site called Welcome to Porthcawl, and after Google trawled the site it ended up as the number one site for the search term Porthcawl. It's above Wikipedia, the BBC and BCBC and we are more than a little pleased. Take a look on this link to see what we mean. Why is it number one? Well there are lots of reasons, but the main reason is that the site is well written. We could bore you with the technical meaning of that statement, but let us just say it's blinkin great.
I have to mention the Olympics. I am not a huge sport fan, but do enjoy some of the coverage. However I am a touch furious at the absolute blanket coverage we seem to be getting. If you are not an addict to all sport it appears the BBC is a no go territory. I am sure most licence fee payers should be in line for a rebate if they do not like sport. You are not a heretic if you don't like archery or small bore rowing. I love beach volleyball but my wife has restricted my viewing hours on that particular sport. So, you have almost no choice- It's sport, sport or sport, and without beach volleyball it can be a touch too much for even the hardened fans.
Hope you have a great month.
